The 74 authentically decorated rooms are fully air-conditioned and offer beautiful desert and mountain views. Most rooms are spacious and have adobe fireplaces and outside private patios. Tanque Verde Ranch operates on the full American plan. The rate includes breakfast, lunch and dinners as well as all of the Ranch’s wonderful activities! These include horseback riding and lessons, tennis, mountain biking, guided hiking, nature walks and other nature programs and a variety of informative and entertaining evening programs. There are five tennis courts, one of which is lighted at night, and a staff tennis pro to help you with your game! The facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, a separate children’s wading pool, and an exercise room. A large Jacuzzi and men’s and ladies saunas provide the perfect way to relax after a long day in the saddle. Basketball, volleyball, and fishing are also available, and the ranch provides all the equipment. Their fully supervised children’s program provides a special ranch experience for kids ages 4 through 11. For an additional fee, championship golf is nearby and in-room massage can be arranged.
Tanque Verde Ranch has Arizona’ largest stable, with over 120 well-trained horses. Riding is offered every day of the week, both walking rides for beginners and loping rides for more experienced riders. All-day rides, picnic rides, and breakfast rides add variety and adventure to the regular riding schedule. Beginning and advanced riding lessons and horsemanship classes are offered daily as well and, as with all riding, are included in the rate!
Weekly evening outdoor barbecues with live western entertainment and breakfast rides up to the Old Homestead for cowboy breakfast in the great outdoors add an Old West touch to mealtime.
