Nestled along the St. Vrain River with aspen and pine trees throughout the ranch’s 300 acres, the surrounding beauty will take your breath away! Just minutes from the Continental Divide in the heart of the Roosevelt National Forest, Peaceful Valley Ranch and Conference Center has been the host site for families and couples from all over the world since 1949. Known for program diversity, the ability to accommodate all ages and riding abilities, their complete hiking programs and several day-trip excursions, the ranch has something for everyone.
The philosophy at Peaceful Valley is to bring families together in a naturally peaceful environment and assist families and couples in having the best week of their year! From sunup ‘til sundown, one will never be lacking for something to do. The numerous riding trails cover some of the most majestic scenery in Colorado. Guests are given their own horse on Sunday and finish their riding for the week at the Saturday Gymkana. Year after year, guests and staff return to the ranch as if it was home-away-from-home. The staff will bend over backwards to accommodate individual needs upon request. Kids ages 4-12 enjoy their own riding groups, swim in the indoor pool, participate in nature hikes, make crafts, pet the many animals in the ranch’s petting zoo and learn some ranch history in the Chaquita Museum. Guests will enjoy mouth-watering, scrumptious ranch-style buffets with something for everyone. With advance notice, special dietary needs can be met! The meal bell rings each day at 8 am, 12 noon and 6 pm The ranch offers a non-rider discount and is sure to keep one busy even if they don’t ride! If you can’t spare a full week, try one of Peaceful Valley’s three-day programs.
In the winter, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking or enjoying a ride in the horse-drawn sleigh will surely capture your heart and soul! The view of Colorado’s snow-capped peaks, the feel of fresh powder beneath your feet, the scent of wood burning in the fireplaces will transport you to a inner place of peace and beauty that is seldom reached but in the midst of such awesome splendor and quietude.
The Peaceful Valley Chapel overlooking the Continental Divide is a perfect setting for a wedding and will accommodate up to 75 people. Brides may bring their own decorations and coordinate all aspects of the wedding arrangements with their on-site weeding coordinator to make sure every detail is complete. A wide variety of hors d’ouevres and dinner menus are available to choose from. The ranch’s over-sized dance hall and band stage make for a perfect wedding reception.
Specially designed programs including Body & Soul Wellness Retreats are offered throughout the year and can be tailored to individual group needs.
