The ranch owners believe that the soul of any dude and guest ranch is its horseback riding program, and they take it seriously, ascribing to the principles of Natural Horsemanship. At King Mountain, that means communicating with the horses in their language rather than trying to get them to learn ours. The ranch’s objective is to provide its guests with a horse experience, not a riding program.
Summers at King Mountain Ranch include activities that will keep you as busy as you want to be kept. Fishing, hiking, basketball, tennis, skeet and trap shooting are just some of the activities available to you. Also available is the recreation room with billiards, ping pong, bowling, plus many off-site activities. For those who just want to come and relax, there’s a swimming pool, hot tub, with appointments, massages.
