Overview
Gros Ventre River Ranch offers its guests a warm and friendly atmosphere with the invigorating activity that is so much a part of ranch vacation life. This dude and guest ranch is located on the eastern boundary of Grand Teton National Park along the banks of the tumbling Gros Ventre (pronounced grow vahnt) River, a tributary to the Snake. The Ranch is completely surrounded by National Forest and Park Lands. Rising above the rolling hills to the west of the Ranch loom the majestic Tetons with Grand Teton towering to 13,770 feet above sea level. The main lodge, guest cabins and corrals are set amidst meadows, pines and aspen near to the river.
Upon your arrival at the Ranch you will be greeted by an attentive staff. A welcome basket awaits you in your cabin. Linens are fresh and crisp. The food at the Gros Ventre River Ranch is something of a legend. The carefully prepared meals may include prime rib, trout, and grilled breast of chicken. Each week the Ranch hosts cookouts with thick, juicy steaks, fresh greens, and fruit cobbler. Enjoy a cocktail as you watch the sun set behind the Tetons. Or drink a fine chardonnay with your dinner. This is ranch life with just the right touch of civilization.
