Accommodations You will have a truly relaxing western vacation, with comfortable country style lodging. Choose from several style cabins and lodge rooms. Guest comfort is a top priority, taking "Western hospitality" to a new level!

Cabins
There are eight one-bedroom cabins that will sleep one to four guests, and eight two-bedroom cabins that will sleep four to six guests. Some cabins have adjoining doors, if you want to put the kids next door and still have access to them.

All cabins have a porch swing overlooking the ranch.

Lodge Rooms
Eight rooms upstairs will sleep one to three guests. These have a balcony with seating to restfully enjoy the ranch. Two additional rooms are located downstairs that will sleep one to three guests.

All cabins and rooms have full western accommodations (no freezing your tail end off in an out house) and include daily housekeeping service.
Dining Can you imagine what would happen to the cook if a whole posse of cowboys came in off a hard day on the trail and found a cold fire? Let's just say that in the old days, the cook would be about as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Well, this may not be the old "wild west", but cowboys haven’t changed that much.

Here at Greenhorn all guests meet at the same time and in the same place for chow. From breakfast to dinner and all the in-betweens, the down-home country meals are hearty and delicious.

Some of the ranch’s meals are served in the country style chuck house where you will dine with family and your new friends in a warm relaxed atmosphere.

Other meals are served out on the trail by a soothing fresh water brook. These fabulous cookouts are available by horseback riding, walking, or by horse-drawn wagon pulled by one of the ranch's popular draft horse teams. Yep, there's something wonderful about eating in the great outdoors! The aroma of fresh coffee and pancakes for breakfast, or the grilled hamburgers with all the fixings for lunch, and those steaks and chicken served sizzling hot off the barbecue for dinner just can't be beat!

Whether you're eating in the chuck house or out on the trail, you can count on plenty of great western chow (the wranglers wouldn't have it any other way). And, the ranch will be more than happy to accommodate any special dietary needs, just let them know when you make your reservation.

Conference Facilities Ideal for Corporate Retreats
Greenhorn Creek Ranch sets aside time in the spring and the fall just for companies that would like to do a little retreat for business meetings and the such. They can accommodate up to 94 guests, providing them with a wonderful western vacation booked exclusively for your company's employees.

The "Rec. Hall" serves as a conference room and even the lodge is an excellent meeting place. You will have access to phones, fax machines and a computer phone line can be arranged for your convenience.

The needs of each company are different and Greenhorn Creek understands that each retreat will be unique in it’s own way. So, because of that, you are encouraged to give Greenhorn Creek a call or send an e-mail so a quote can be tailored to your specific needs.
Children's Programs The fully supervised children’s program boasts an endless list of activities: games, arts and crafts, nature hikes, pony rides and sing-a-longs. For the wee wranglers (ages 3-6), there’s a kiddie corral with a full-time childcare specialist.

Special Entertainment Rodeo Events
Greenhorn's Famous Mini Rodeo is a favorite among their guests. Wranglers set aside time during the week for guests who want to work with their horses in the arena to polish up for Wednesday's Rodeo. It's truly one of THE highlights of the week.
Additional Info Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch offers a full schedule of day and night activities. Here’s some of what you can expect:

Fishing
Greenhorn offers some great fishing right on the ranch. You’ll love fishing in the ranch’s pond stocked full of native trout. Then within a 15 to 20-minute drive there is the beautiful Feather River, which offers some of the best river fishing in Northern California.

And, if you like the lake fishing scene, there are a number of lakes within an hour's drive, where you can enjoy boating, water skiing, fishing, or just sight seeing.

So bring your tackle box, fishing poles, waders, or whatever else you may want along. After your fishing pleasure, just take your catch to the "Chuck House", where they’ll be happy to fix 'em up for you!

Hiking
After a couple of days on horse back, your backside might get a little sore. At this point if you find that going for a hike sounds a little more comfortable than riding, no problem.

Miles of trails abundant with plant and wildlife are perfect for hiking and relaxing. Some of the trails are pretty level – perfect if you’re not in all that good of shape and would rather take an easier trail that won't tire you out too much. Some of the trails can get a little steep, so if you’re in pretty good shape and want a hike that will give you a good workout, you won’t be disappointed.

Evenings
If after a hard day out on the trail, you feel the need to kick up your heels, make your way to the Dance Hall and Saloon. The sounds of music and laughter fill the air and you'll soon find yourself swinging your partner in a square dance or enjoying an unforgettable line dancing experience. For those of you with two left feet, dance lessons are offered and you’ll be two-stepping all over the place in no time at all.

If relaxation is more what you had in mind, the ranch has a special section in the dance hall building set aside just for reading, or maybe some card playing. You may also want to relax around the heated pool or in the jacuzzi by star-lit sky. Of course, there's also a game room equipped with pingpong and video games that will keep you and your children entertained for hours.

You won't want to miss the ranch’s bonfires either, there's just something about a campfire that makes you snuggle up to one another while singing songs, roasting marshmallows, telling stories, and gazing at the stars.
Nearest Airport RENO (RNO) is 70 miles away. Greenhorn can provide transportation to and from airport in their western style limo.
