Escape to Montana
Flathead Lake Lodge is unique in its location directly on the shores of the largest natural lake west of the Great Lakes. The ranch combines a western atmosphere and complete horse program, along with the added enjoyment of water sports, fishing and tennis.
| Relax, Refresh & Forget
Flathead Lake is named after the Flathead Indians who inhabit their reservation on the south end of the lake. The clear lake water is comfortable for swimming and pure enough to drink. Species of sport fish range from the smaller Silver Salmon and Cut Throat trout to the larger Dolly Varden and Mackinaw that reach 40 lbs. Fishing is popular both on the lake and in the nearby rivers and streams. Elevation of the ranch is 3,000’ above sea level. Summer temperatures range from 75-90 degrees during the day, with the evenings being somewhat cooler. There are no poisonous snakes or spiders, just a few Grizzly Bears.
Acres of sprawling lawns run from the Lodge to the lake’s edge. There is plenty of activity both at the corrals and on the beach, all to enjoy at your own pace. Flathead Lake Lodge’s guests come to relax, refresh and forget about a schedule.
