The People
The people at Drowsy Water Ranch help make the experience what it is. Your owner-hosts Ken, Randy Sue, Justin and Ryan Fosha invite you to their ranch and home to enjoy the western vacation of your dreams. Under the same ownership and management for 30 years, the Fosha's Drowsy Water Ranch has developed a reputation for quality dude ranch vacations. The ranch has programs for children from infants to teenagers with plenty of activities for parents and grandparents alike. Singles and couples are welcomed also. All of the guest accommodations (log cabins and lodge rooms) have been completely remodeled and redecorated in recent years.
Their staff has been handpicked for their friendliness, personality, talent and a sincere desire to please. They participate in all activities and create much of the ranch’s entertainment.
Horse Program
Colorado’s most spectacular mountain scenery is enhanced when you’re in the saddle; horseback riding trails that are only traveled by deer and elk. Drowsy Water Ranch has a very special relationship with their 100+ horses. They’ve bred, raised and trained them to provide guests with the finest of riding opportunities. Horses are selected to match your own riding skills. Daily instruction, both in the arena and on the trail help to improve everyone’s proficiency. Drowsy Water’s horse program is outstanding and geared to every riding ability and age group. Advanced riders have many opportunities to explore and blaze new trails while handling their horses from leisurely walks to smooth lopes and gallops. There are rides for adults-only as well as children’s rides. Adults can also test their horse skills at the weekly team cattle penning competition.
Other Things to Do
You can decide to can enjoy a sense of total relaxation and freedom from stress by sitting in the heated pool and hot tub. Or you can participate in Drowsy Water’s complete program of activities that include swimming, horseshoes, steak frys, trout fishing, square dancing, jeep trips, song fests, campfires, hayrides, movies, pack trips, staff entertainment, gymkhana rodeos, raft trips, children's programs, golf, hunting and much more - but it is your vacation so you may take part in whatever you like.
