Dana & Kara Demorest, General Managers - Guiding a Hike Above the Ranch
Dana and Kara are the daughters of Tom and Linda and have spent a good portion of their lives at the Diamond D Ranch. Both take guided hikes and trail rides and are Diamond D’s general managers.
The Diamond D Ranch has a warm and friendly staff whose goal is to make every guest feel as if they are part of the family, of which only a few are pictured below.
| Alison Hunter, Wrangler
Alison is a wrangler and back country guide at the Diamond D Ranch. This will be her seventh consecutive season working at the ranch. Alison has a lifetime of experience with horses and enjoys spending time and getting to know the guests. She also enjoys fly fishing, sports and is fluent in French.
| Michele Renee and her Daughter Rachel
Michele, and her daughter Rachel, have spent the past three summers at the ranch. They came to the Diamond D from San Francisco and instantly were part of the ranch family! Michele is a very talented and wonderful chef. Not only is the food outstanding and the presentation beautiful, Michele is a wonderful hostess. She welcomes all guests as they arrive with a big warm hug and helps them feel right at home! Rachel is loved by all the kids who visit the ranch. She is a great addition to the ranch!!!
| CarolAnne Barone and Katy Kahla
CarolAnne, aka "Tex", comes to us from Dallas, TX. She visited the ranch in 2002 as a guest and it never left her heart or mind. She came back to work for us in 2008 and she was a very strong addition to our ranch family. She is wonderful in her attention to detail and new ideas. She brought a lot of energy and fun to the table and we hope to have her back next summer!
Katy has been working at the ranch for three summers. She started coming to the ranch with her family when she was very young and as soon as she turned 16 she wanted to come to work at the Diamond D. We love having Katy at the ranch. She is a hard worker and enjoys spending quality time with our guests.
Both Katy and Tex help in the kitchen and cleaning crew. They also help guide weekly hikes, teach gold panning, arts and crafts, and join in on evening activities!!!
| John Trone - "Buckshot"
Buckshot is a jack of all trades and a talented guide. He has worked at the Diamond D for two seasons and we hope to have him for many more years. He and his wife, Ronda, are care taking the ranch this winter. They watch after the horses and make sure they have plenty of food and water. Buckshot is an experienced horseman and an avid sportsman. He is a valued member of the Diamond D family!
| Rob Young
Rob is the son of Tom and Linda Demorest. He has been at the ranch off and on since he was a young boy. We are always happy to have Rob at the ranch!!! He is a talented mechanic, he can fix anything! Rob is extremely handy to have in the mechanic shop, but also in the fields, and mostly, on the trail. Rob has a strong love for horses and is a bit of a "horse Whisperer". He can train young horses from the ground up and it sure is something to see. He is also an experienced guide and packer. The guests enjoy Rob's many stories and jokes... he always has one to tell! Rob will make you feel like you really are in the old west, he is a true cowboy!
