Overview
The Diamond D Ranch is for the adventurous. This Idaho dude ranch is set in the midst of incomparable beauty of rugged, snowcapped mountains, forests of pine and quaking Aspen, clear blue lakes and green pastures all surrounded by millions of acres of federal wilderness.
The ranch was initially a supply store for area mining operations in the mid-1800’s. As mining faded and interest grew in big game hunting and mountain stream fishing, the ranch developed into a guest ranch and hunting lodge. The ranch is located in the heart of the 2.3 million acre Frank Church Wilderness Area in central Idaho, and maintains its presence in a secluded valley at the confluence of three beautiful flowing streams. The Demorest family has owned the Diamond D Ranch for over 50 years.
The Diamond D Ranch offers many activities everyday, however guests are encouraged to relax and use their time as they wish. Therefore, activities are completely optional. The ranch’s main goal is to have every guest feel as if they are part of the family. Year after year the ranch has several return guests who feel that the Diamond D Ranch is their home away from home.
The ranch offers many activities and services. The activities include horseback riding, fishing (lake and stream), boating, swimming (pool and hot tub), hiking, gold panning, bonfires, cookouts, roping, horseshoes, badminton, volleyball, target shooting, archery, movie nights, or evenings playing cards, games or relaxing by the fire and enjoying conversation with the gang at the main lodge. The ranch’s special services include chapel weddings (minister at the ranch), vow renewal, gazebo dinners (with lake view), business retreats and conventions and babysitting.
The Diamond D Ranch is proud of its fully equipped kitchen and imaginative menus. A surprising variety of taste tempting meals are served family style in the lodge dining room or at outdoor barbecues. From that first whiff of fresh brewed coffee, bacon and eggs, and hot cakes that almost lifts you out of your bed in the morning to the freshly baked pies and cakes that finish off dinner, your tummy is going to have some very fond memories of your week at the ranch. For folks with specific dietary requirements… just let the ranch know in advance - almost all special requests can be accommodated.

Reservation Policy
In order to secure reservations at the Diamond D Ranch, we ask for a 25% deposit upfront. The remainder of the balance can be paid upon departure of the ranch.
Cancellation Policy
The Diamond D Ranch has a 60 day cancellation policy.
