Overview

Cheff Guest Ranch is located in the beautiful Mission Valley and is nestled at the base of the majestic Mission Mountains. The Cheff Family owns and leases over 10,000 acres at the ranch and in the valley. The view from the ranch is spectacular, you can see ”forever” into the valley and Ninepipes and Kicking Horse reservoirs are in full view. Nothing beats relaxing on the deck of the lodge watching the sun go down after a day of swimming, canoeing, fishing, and horseback riding.

Guests become part of the family while they are at the Cheff Ranch. They are welcome to take part in the daily activities that occur while staying at the working cattle and horse ranch. Such activities include: cow milking, moving the stock, picking hay, and irrigating. Every day, guests go horseback riding on the trails surrounding the ranch. They travel through the woods, into gorgeous meadows, across streams and to beautiful mountain lakes. Seeing deer, bear, and other wildlife is not uncommon. Guests also may participate in a half-day whitewater rafting trip and an all-day horseback ride. Delicious ranch style meals are served in the lodge three times daily. Outdoor barbecues are common during your stay. Cheff Guest Ranch is located near the National Bison Range, Flathead Lake and Glacier Park is only two hours away.

Beginning at the end of June and ending in the first part of September are Cheff Ranch’s wilderness pack trips. They offer trips into the Bob Marshall Wilderness and the Mission Mountain Wilderness. Travel by horseback through some of the most beautiful and rugged country in the United States. Whether you are fly fishing or just enjoying the scenery, these trips are a once in a lifetime experience for the entire family. Big game hunts into the Bob Marshall Wilderness begin in September and last through November. Cheff Ranch has two camps that can comfortably accommodate up to six to eight hunters.
