Behind the Gate – The End of the Road
The Box “R” Ranch is nestled at the very foot of the 13,000 foot high Wind River Mountain Range at 7,500’ elevation, just 60 miles south of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Homesteaded by the Loziers in 1900, they are the only deeded land in Wyoming to border the 880,000-acre Bridger Wilderness Area. With a 106 year old history of accepting guests, the ranch’s return guest ratio of 46% is a testament to their commitment of making lifelong memories for you and your family or friends.
Freedom Calls – Adventure Beckons
At the Box “R” Ranch, they strongly DISCOURAGE NOSE TO TAIL RIDING. Spring Cowboy Camps. Spring Cattle Drives with as many as 2,000 head of cattle in any given day. Many horseback riding liberties and freedoms not found on other ranches. Ride to your own secret spot. Advanced Horsemanship Clinics. Wrangle the “cavvy” at daybreak. Sunrise breakfasts and Starlight rides home in the dark. Awesome Fall Colors & Cattle round-up weeks offered each September.
Plush Rooms – Fantastic Food
Beautifully kept, authentic rustic private cabins and lodges to match your single or group requirement. Private baths, porches, recreation and reading rooms, refrigerators, no in-room phone or television. Reading lounge and BYOB bar. The culinary arts are carefully blended with home style ranch cooking. Hardy and light meals. Ten to twenty item salad bar. Breads, pastries, and desserts. Wide varieties of breakfast flair. Lunches often include salad bar, homemade soups, and 20-item sandwich bar.
Adult-Only Visits – Special Family Vacation Weeks
The Box "R" offers 11 weeks limited to Adults and Singles seeking to avoide the restrictions and regimentation that are necessitaed when children are present. Scheduling of early morning and late evening activities are much more uninhibited. Riding and other freedoms are more relaxed. Activities are less scripted and designed to be more flexible, developing friendships, nuturing relationships, and providing social liberties.

Doorstep Wildlife - Quiet Solitude
The Box "R" Ranch boasts one of Wyoming’s most diverse Large Wildlife populations. Antelope and Moose are seen daily from your cabin. Deer frequent the yard and Elk graze the surrounding hills with cows and horses. Coyotes, Wolves and the lovely Curlew call your inner most senses to life each night. The Box "R" is one of the only remote dude ranches where you can hear absolutely nothing but nature, on a cool crisp summer evening. They are 23 miles from town and eight miles from nearest highway. Truly peaceful.
Lightly Regimented - Small Ranch Hospitality
Limited to just 15 to 20 guests, the Box "R" Ranch welcomes you on a one on one basis. You will soon feel like part of the family. Saddle your own horse. Choose many of your specific desires and live your dream as a real Cowboy or Cowgirl at Box "R". Their schedule is lightly regimented daily, so you can prepare yourself and enjoy it all.

Reservation Policy
Reservations are confirmed by placing a 25% non-refundable deposit. A 3% United States Forest Service fee and non-optional 10% gratuity is added to all bills. The balance will be due upon your arrival at the ranch.
Cancellation Policy
A 25% deposit must accompany each reservation. The balance is due upon arrival. If cancellation is made 45 days prior to your arrival, Box "R" Ranch, will carry-over the non-refundable deposit to the following year at that years' rate-less a $100.00/per person handling fee. If the deposit is unused during the following year, or if a cancellation is made less than 45 days prior to your arrival, said deposit will be deemed forfeited. Early departures may result in loss of all deposits or payments.
